soldering iron tip help

Hello all, I'm working on making new solding iron tips. The problem is, the tips are not getting near the same temperature as the iron itself. On the inside threads of the end of the iron I am getting over 400*F on a digital thermometer, however when I screw in a stainless steel tip it will only sho...

People who tinker with computers typically have empty computer cases all around, so it's not really a waste -- and I believe the author was more interested in having it just for keeping drinks cool as opposed as having your whole deli inside. Pretty much. If you even read the post or looked at the ...

Trust me when i say that i have plenty of spare PSUs and cases lying around to mess with. The guy that made the first one said he used a single 4pin to connect both peltiers, which would mean Pos\Neg, Pos\Neg. That's the only way it could be hooked up. As far as condensation goes, maybe that's why h...

I see that now.

I'm assuming the internal fans are just to spread the cold air around the case.

Computer case Refrigerator

Hey spudtech. I'm coming back to you guys to help me with something. http://inventgeek.com/Projects/Minifridge/Page3.aspx I recently saw this case mod, and I found it very interesting. From what i understand, the guy used 2 peltier cooling elements from mini fridges to cool his insulated computer ca...

@spudman: Your maths is perfectly accurate, however, in CO2 cartridges, it is partly stored as liquid (as CO2 liquefies under high enough pressures), which makes the molar quantity higher than the pressure and volume alone would suggest. With liquid "gases", Boyle's law cannot be directly applied. ...

I don't know the exact pressure rating of sch40 steel pipe, but i think it is somewhere around 2000psi? Someone correct that please. Also, on the old forum, there used to be a chart that listed the pressure you would get in X chamber from a 12g CO2 cartridge. Is that chart still here anywhere? If no...

I've owned an A5 before getting into tournament paintball. If cocking the gun does not work, make sure all of the internal o-rings are well lubricated. There should be one oring on the front of the bolt, if any of them leak down the barrel, it would be this one.
