Thats what I'm saying, the piston will not open fully. Maybe with a Longer area behind the piston with a long, progressive spring It will achieve the same flow. Still going to have a slower opening time VS no spring, and I can't see the multi-shot idea working. Yes, the pressure remaining should equ...

Well in theory this will work, depending on your choice of ammo and firing valve I believe. I think a PCP is best used for small, lightweight projectiles as not as much air is required and thus a higher number of shots per fill (which is the whole point of PCP). The firing valve will need to be tune...

But if the pressure reached 1000 PSI you'd be fine however you'd still have about 400 PSI in the chamber after the projectile left the barrel. That pressure alone would be enough for another shot so you'd have to have some way to fire another shot or to release the pressure in a safe manner. Pretty...

I'm also getting infected with piston valve hybrid designs, its only a matter of time :P I imagine power loss compared to burst discs would be significant, but I'm sure different piston valve designs would produce varying power. I'm looking at it for small bore applications, just the ease/speed of p...

I stick to PVC barrels, and sleeve them inside chrome plated curtain rods (because they're dead straight). I use these types of barrels for my hybrid and pneumatic snipers, very accurate with marbles, I can hit Coke cans @ 25m every time. I know where your coming from, i cant stand any barrel which ...
