I'm glad someone bumped this thread, because I'm looking for an extremely compact and light semiautomatic BB gun to use in a robotic aircraft that I'm building. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/files/ak_mag_web_150.jpg So, if I buy the magazine with valve and co2 adapter and add my own barrel, could...

Well, I tried my best with this fixed acrylic lens. I figured these were acceptable at least. I wasn't trying to show off my awesome photography skills, just my mass of mutilated plumbing parts. I've seen some pretty horrific photos on here, even with a decent lens, it's still possible to make peopl...

Ya, it's 1:45am here and I've got an exam tomorrow, doing the summer quarter... I still have to study... procrastinate much? I thought about making some sort of blow forward bolt, but for whatever reason I went with the manual loader. I plan to run it at around 125psi off a 20lb CO2 cylinder.

There's a not-so-recent gun under "recent developements" on on spudtech.com, he claims it to shoot spuds over the speed of sound. It's a giant piston pneumatic that operates around 150psi, scroll down and you'll know it when you see it. I'm currently building one just like it only a little bigger wi...

Mostly done with my 10 foot, piston valve golfball cannon.

I've taken these 5mp pics with my phone, uploaded my them to photobucket with my phone and I'm actually posting this whole thing using my phone! I have the Motorola Droid and yes, it does that. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/killerkiwicomics/65d3f0ca.jpg There it is, on my desk at the moment,...

3-WAY VALVES for charging/firing 2" piston cannons.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/killerkiwicomics/Mauler%20Cannon/2pneu1.jpg Notice the Mauler cannon has a 3-way valve as the trigger, when you fire the cannon, the airflow from the compressor is temporarily cut off while the pilot is vented. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/killerkiwico...

Great, I think I can make an air-stripper out of some fittings using a dremel.

I guess I need to port the barrel to release pressure before the flechette exits, otherwise the blast of air will cause the flechette to yaw back and forth as it sails through the air...

I don't know exactly how to do this, but I think it might be necessary... Is it?

Of course! A gas seal AND a sabot! That is an absolutely awesome idea. Did you make that diagram just now, the flechette looks exactly like the ones I ordered. Thank you very much! When this starts going together I'll post it in this thread. Do you think I need to make a piston or should the QEV alo...

I want to fire them individually, Is it possible to get a barrel with just enough room for the fins and put wadding (like a cotton ball) behind them? I don't know exactly how I would make a sabot for these... Would wadding somehow make the flechette inaccurate after it leaves the barrel? Could I cut...

Copper gun to fire 1 1/2" steel flechettes.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/killerkiwicomics/Picture5.png I just bought a 3/4" QEV from McMaster, Should I use the QEV to fire the cannon or pilot a piston? I want to fire these little flechettes, I just bought 100 of them. And I bought 1lb of the 1" long kind flechettes. What diameter an...

I've seen that, I will use the basic design of the mauler cannon, but try to improve anything I possibly can.

What pipe is used to make soda can and t-shirt barrels, 2.5"? Also, what is it sleeved in, in order to make a breech loader?

I want to build a cannon using the mauler valve...

I saw the mauler valve, now I've got to have one... I have a few questions first... I have access to a beast of an air compressor so I want to build a monstrosity of a cannon. I can not find pressure rated 3" and 4" pvc in my area so I'll have to resort to ordering it from SGTC but is that a good id...
