Thanks for the clarification Gippeto. I attempted to make a barrel bolt. Any better ways to do this? It's a really tight fit, I had to use grease. http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae235/socom_6_deathrow/IMAG1151_zps0aae78a9.jpg http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae235/socom_6_deathrow/IMAG1152_zps...

How much would someone here charge to make me a small 3/4 piston from plastic or aluminium? I could do it myself, but have no lathe at the moment. Thanks.

I'm actually hoping to get a small lathe soon, but have no clue of what they are worth or wich size to get. I know I probably don't want more than 24"

I just started college for machining 1 month ago and doing cnc next year. I could machine myself a piston for sure now, but they want us to wait at least 1 month before doing a personal projects. Might try to get myself a little lathe for stuff just like that.

I joined here when I was 14 (18 now) And I still built a few airguns. I drive a dirtbike, but I got mine plated for street, so I'm all good.

I have this 7/8 x 1" square stock of some kind of hard plastic, but I have nothing to turn it with now, so I might look for some 3/4" round stock, and try to sand it to fit inside. One question. When people cut a notch in the piston and then put an o-ring. I thought you needed a notch in the piston ...

I am fine tuning it for now, but a stock is in the near future. No power tests yet, and I want to leave the barrel like it is for now, since it's a muzzle loader for now. ( I removed the 1/2-3/4 and 3/4-1" fitting though.) The gun worked perfect yesterday, but today the barrel was leaking. I opened ...

First Piston airgun and first airgun in a while.

Hey guys, I haven't been here in a while, but anyways. Here is my first piston airgun. I made on before, but it never worked, so I got pissed off at it after multiple fixes and never made another since yesterday. A picture of my piston valve components. http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae235/socom...

Thanks for the reply, I laughed so hard at your post. I think I will build with a threaded shaft, some washers and o-ring.s. what kind of o-rings do you use? Thanks! :D
