Re: Potential 6mm Airgun Sniper (need help)
nice concept for the gun. if you wanted to make a few alterations to positioning, it could be more gun like and allow for a better trigger with the 3/2 valve. 1 the 90 elbow between the QEV and 3/2 should be straight 2 the 3/2 should have the button down, a trigger can now be added with a pivot poi...

Re: sodastream c02 to qev
Hi Datsun I refill up to 700 psi from my fridge compressor, apart from that Woolworths do exchange bottles of C02 but make sure you use the bottle in a vertical position or at a 33 degree angle from the horizontal so you only get Co2 gas and not liquid. (not required if you use hpa)

how does this work

Can someone explain to me how this works?
I tried to contact the author but no luck.
What is the reason for using a tyre inflater instead of just a air blower.

Re: Take down Sniper Rifle
Zeus, thanks for the invite I will take you up on that. You are right about the No of shots. Using 700 psi and regged to 90 psi I got 7. I also halved the chamber size to 50mm but that is not enough air to even push the bb half way down the barrel. JSR, Yes I agree with you on the quick connect weig...

Re: Take down Sniper Rifle
dajoro- I have measured the barrel which is sold as 8mm i.d. and it comes in at 7.62mm. The bb's that I bought from China come in at 7.59mm. Thats as close as I can get to fitting, if I put a small piece 1/8" wide by 1/4" long of insulation tape on the bb then it wont fit down the bore without pushi...

Take down Sniper Rifle
Is this concept feasible?
Air pressure in bottle 700 psi via fridge compressor.
chamber size 100 mm x 13 mm.
Bore 8 mm
barrel 600 mm
Ammo 7.5 mm BB
quick connect bottle to chamber, screw on barrel, ready to shoot.

chamber volume to barrel volume
I have a 600mm barrel with an id of 8mm which works out to 30171 cubic millimetres. Firing chamber is 100mm id of 12mm = 15085 cubic millimetres. This is approx .5:1 (if my figures are right ) :?: Would someone please check these figures for me. Firing 7.5mm bb's @ 150 psi bolt action single shot. a...
