I would think that an endcap with a hole can handle less pressure than a proper reducer and is less safe. depends on what type of material he is using, how he decides to affix it and what pressures he is using, none of witch is listed,, the brass end cap on my mini handles 400psi so i think that is...

yes epoxy works good and of course pvc and metal can connect together ,just make sure when screwing the fittings together not to cross thread the pvc fittings,use a thin layer of teflon at the bottom of the thread and work your way up making it thicker at the top... 8)

Or you could just use a 3/4 nipple or 3/4 by 1/2" nipple depending on what size barrel you want to use. then find a kinco nut and olive to suit the barrel size and your away, with the compression fitting you can adjust the dept of the pipe extending into the tee

update

just a bit of an update i decided to mount my mini coax to the underside of my slightly larger coax,lol ive also built a mini push button to depress the shrader, made from a chrome valve cap,spring and a brass nut/bolt now its double the fun :D what do you think? also a quick vid to show they actual...

interesting,but like mentioned in other threads,i think you will have extreme difficulty trying to depress the bolt at higher pressures,maybe a leverage system should be in place..!!

And what on earth is jsr's failure cannon,maybe a link will clear things up.. as for performance now that the glue has dryed, is very impressive and alot louder than i thort it would be,but considering i shoot it at about 350-400psi that comes to be expected. no real power test have been done ,altho...
