Perhaps I should build my first hybrid for this contest... I may get 1st place for the sole reason that me building a hybrid would be absolutely mind blowingZeus wrote:We'll all be able to bully GF into building a hybrid.

Disagree! Ah yes, the Motoped... I hadn't discovered them yet at the time! Since the last time I posted, I finished modifying that 66cc and I am currently running it on my old bike frame. Man, does this thing RIP compared to my old 50. Some things I modified on it: 1. high compression (from 90 to a...

Re: "Offtopic-posts-topic" NSFW
Remember to use a hairmet ! Joke aside, put at least a front suspension and disc brake. Front suspension has been added, I'll deal with disc brakes on the next build! Nice, more details on the engine? I feel like you could get about the same speed pedalling really, really hard though. :D Just...

Threw this hot rod together a couple weekends ago, got tired of taking public transportation to class  Maxing out at about 30 (that's mph), going to mess with the mixture in the carb and see if I can get her 2 horses revving a little higher. It might not look like much but it's a blast to ride ...

Re: probelm with hopup in inline vortex
From what I've seen in airsoft guns, the hopup is pretty close to the beginning of the barrel. I suppose this is to give the BB enough time to accelerate to a velocity at which the hopup can impart enough spin on the BB while still having enough barrel length to continue to accelerate to the muzzle ...

Re: Lathe Pistons on a Drill Press for Cheap (w/ a Collet)
It's so sketchy... but I love it
Used to do this with my drill press as well, but never made a collet attachment. Pretty cool! Working with epoxy must make it much easier to cut.

Sums it up pretty well. We are basically a dying breed; the new generations don't care about putting any effort or thought into anything anymorewyz2285 wrote:in a time when everyone is running around playing Pokemon Go it's not going to be the same, no matter how we advertise spudding.

At least in the event that I had to make one in a professional situation I would be paid... and I suppose I could cope with that... However if that day ever comes I would expect nobody other than you, Jack, to find it

Re: "In the world of spuds today"
So today I finally caved... No I didn't design a hybrid... I bought one of those SHINY commercial QEVs and a Clippard MJVO-3 three-way valve. Plan is to make a bolt-action, cartridge ejecting gun, primarily for Nerf but of course can be used with any ammo that will fit in the 1/2" PVC cartridges. Th...
