I'd highly reccomend putting a fan in there too. I was disappointed in the performance of mine so I pulled a CPU fan out of a old computer and it almost doubled the power.

Ideas for things to shoot

I built a combustion with a 2.5"x36" barrel and a 3"x25" chamber. I have been thinking about making a propane meter, but before I do I need ideas for new projectiles. I've been shooting Idaho potatoes since they seem to make the best seal, but I'm starting to get bored with them. A soda bottle/can i...

Ill give that a try, using the 3 seconds of spray did make a difference. I saw some off laying around I know it releases bad chemicals but I tried a few shots of that and it did make a difference. Im going to pick up some starting fluid and a fan tomorrow and see how it goes. I was almost thinking a...

And get the right air box for that, 2 strokes will never run right with out the back pressure from atliest a filter. If you use a pod filter bump the jetting up one size.

Hows the compression feel on it? Not sure what the compression should be but dirtbikes are higher than the normal 125psi. My kx 250 is suppose to be in the 215psi range. For a old air cooled bike like that I'd run it rich on both fuel and a little richer on the oil they run hotter. If the smoke comm...

I tried a 3 second spray of aquanet, I'm still not getting the distence I should be. The potatoes are tight I have the barrel knife edge. I'm going to see if I have a ecu fan laying around and try that.

Im thinking about trying some propane. Should it be about the same amount 3 seconds or so? Heres a pic of it if it loaded right.

I was shooting it tonight. anymore than 7 seconds of spray makes it too rich, but it still won't go further than 90'. I'll try a ecu fan but this is discouraging it makes plenty of noise but no go.

I'll give that a try tonight. I know this should have the potential to go further than 20 yards. I do eventually want to try setting it up with metered mapp.

Fixing my first spud gun

Hey guys I'm new here. I made my first spud gun yesturday. It has a 3"x24" chamber and a 2"x36" barrel. Both have 226 cubic inches of volume if my math is correct. I shot it using a russet potatoe and 6 seconds of aquanet, but it only went about 20 yards. It fired first time I hit the grill igniter ...
