Re: Short question topic
Yesh! Foster fittings are ideal for this, so if your actually building something "finished" I'd highly suggets on using them. I just wanted to point out that normal QD fittings do seem to last at higher pressures, but its always risky going over the recommended pressure limit

Re: Short question topic
Haven't tested them that far, just chucked in some random female quick connect to my fridgy when I wanted to test it out the first time and never bothered to change it to a proper foster fitting

Re: Short question topic
I have used just basic quick disconnects at 40bars without a problem. Only the "disconnecting" needs a bit more force than in normal 8 bar use

Re: Alil help, advice, and direction
Just a small idea. Got for a construction that can hold the full presurre of CO2, just to be sure. Also, CO2 tends to freeze everything and I wouldn't trust PVC as it gets brittle when cold. Search for 3/4" or 1" quick exhaust valve from eBay or similar, that should get you started pretty well. Ther...

Re: 3d printed ammo testing
I'm testing weighted and unweighted diabolos at 42mm as soon as I have time to print them.
My previous test with diabolos were with 20mm caliber and a coaxial launcher running on unregged co2. Needles to say the PLA rounds flew pretty well but didnt survive on impact hehheh

Re: 3d printed ammo testing
I have had somewhat of a success with some 3D printed diabolo style slugs, haven't tested those in larger calibers though

Re: Golf ball launcher
European 50mm PN16 PVC pipe has an inner diameter of 42.6mm while a golfball has a diameter of 42.67mm. A nice snug fit

Re: "Power Tube" Coaxial Cannon Concept
I believe this will not work, as the pressure around the pilot tube thingy will keep the valve shut. I have tested this similar idea with a barrel sealing piston valve snd it also failed to work

Re: "In the world of spuds today"
The venting is done via 2" camlock at the end of a chamber and as I want the fan to be serviceable I bet its much better to have an RC motor with 40mm rotor than a 40mm PC case fan.... Also dont feel like spending more than 5 seconds for wenting

Re: "In the world of spuds today"
Quick question.
Brushless RC motor with a 40mm 3 blade quadcopter rotor to went a 7.8 Liter combustion chamber? Good or bad idea?

You need a so called "led flasher relay" which operates at much lower load than the normal. Got few from ebay for under 1$ each

Oiled wood is always pretty! Now just apply a thick coat of beeswax, let it sit for an hour and then buff the heck out of it with a soft rag, it's going to be shiny! Here's few more pics of the axe, have done few back in the day but I think this one is the best so far https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcd...

I lately have been busy rebuilding my bike and upkeeping my truck while trying to fund all this, but there's always a bit of time for knife making! Well, for maybe not exactly knife making, but I made an axe for my coworker, that should count as something! https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0...

Re: Another New Member Introduction and Question
The problem with supersonic spuds is the strenght of the projectile. You'd need so large acceleration forces that a simple spud without a decent wadding would never stay in one piece. With a given 300$ budged you'd easily build a hybrid launcher capable of launching a given projectile supersonic. Th...

Re: Apache Fireball Project [picture heavy]
It IS worth the effort! Few years back I restored an old Sako hunting rifle stock which was walnut and looked a lot like that stock. It was very satisfying to reveal the beautiful fresh wood grain under the old and cloudy lacquer!
