wow, uhh.. Well maybe I don't need one?? I am using a homemade meter pipe with a PSI gauge in it and two ball valves, where you just open one ball valve to let the Propane in, then close , and open the other end. The pressure I need to meter to get to is like 30 or 40 psig. So maybe I don't need a r...

Hey, So I am working on a Advanced Combustion, that if I ever get time will get finished, I have most of the pieces I need. Except, a regulator for the propane tank. I have read a bit and see that its a good idea to have one, except I went and talked to a guy at Menards, he wasn't to helpful, I don'...

Is this valve alright to modify?
Hey,
Im looking at sprinkler valves and I can get this valve : http://www.sprinklersupplystore.com/product-p/216b.htm
the Irritrol 216b 1 1/2in
can it be modified to open with a blowgun or pilot valve? or is it a no go?
thanks
BFC

You should prolly be using PVC cement on the PVC parts and the the ABS/PVC cement should be used when you are solvent welding ABS to PVC but I really really dont think that you should use PVC/ABS cement on a pneumatic cannon. On my Adv. Combustion I used PVC and ABS and where those joints came toget...

Prometer Suite ES question
In the data input area it asks for your meters "residual volume". What exactly is the Residual Volume. Its confusing me, Im probably making it more complicated than it needs to be.
thanks,

I wanted to use 4" PVC for the chamber because of the fact that the PVC is pressure rated and then I wanted to use the ABS parts funnel the blast out of the chamber and into the barrel. Maybe my idea was way off, but I had read on here on some different threads that ABS in Propane cannons can fail, ...
