What state are you in? A little bit of a late reply, but I'm in Delaware. At first I was surprised by it, since they aren't exactly common in the area. Then the overreaction started. The media seemed to be hoping to find someone hurt or killed or some building damage so that this could be more of a...

The captive piston may be considered wadding, but I don't see anything specifically banning them. A while ago I had an idea to win at least the trebuchet class. As far as I know trebuchet simply means its energy is stored in the form of gravitational potential energy. Dropping the counterweight into...

It explains why burst disks aren't used, they're against the rules. I couldn't find any reference to burst disks, care to elaborate? 1. All pumpkins fired must remain intact until they impact the ground to obtain an official measurement. 2. No part of the machine shall cross the firing line. 3. No ...

To be honest, building an AEG from scratch isn't exactly going to be easy. I've worked on several factory made AEG's and there's a lot more going on the gearbox than it looks like. If it's going to be "ghetto" an AEG is not the design for you. If you want an airsoft gun, why not try a BBMG? Similar ...

Cowscankill, what are you using for your pilot valve? It sounds like your problem is that air can flow past your piston faster than it can flow out the pilot. A tighter fitting piston would fix this, but it might be easier to just use a larger pilot valve. My first piston valve used a 2in. piston. W...

I haven't been out skirmishing in a while, but my load out previously was a TM AUG, an extra mid cap, and terrain appropriate hunting camouflage. I've since added several more mags, an H-BAR barrel set, and some flecktarn camo. After building the APG-2, I'm starting to rethink carrying around so muc...

I think you're wrong there. Every airsoft gun I've seen has the hop-up attached to the rear of the barrel, as close to the breech as possible.jhalek90 wrote:what are you using for a barrel?
place this setup as close to the muzzle end of the barrel as you can.
(someone correct me if I'm wrong there.)

The barrel is 2", the sprinkler valve is 3/4" and the chamber is 2 inch. what size for around the sprinkler valve? externally, can you say from left to right in your picture what each pvc part/size? Sure, from left to right is a cut down 3" to 2" bell reducer, which is at...

Updated with video. Short, and boring video, but shooting video nonetheless.
