that probably true, but do the pipes that you;'re talking about have to handle any sort of pressure at all?

Re: Help with my Pnuematic cannon

1. the valve is choking the flow, A LOT, so a modded 1" sprinkler valve would def do the trick to get a 100+ yards

2. a 2" barrel is pretty large...go down to a 1 or 1.5" barrel and with the modded valve, your distance's will be EASILY doubled, even tripled

It's not a matter of how strong the UV is, but how long it's been exposed. Unless you plan on using old PVC that's been laying outside for months on end, or your cannon will be outside for that long, you should be fine, just keep it out of the sun when you're not using it. what if i AM going to be ...

that seems like it would work pretty well, but im thinking that the pump would have to be VERY heavy duty for it to not simply snap mid-pump (because obviously the more you pump it, the harder it gets, and eventually the plunger might just snap) unless you put a saftey pop-off valve (i think thats w...

depends, there are all sorts of different sizes of marbles.
personally, i use some 5/8" galvanized steel (fits with maybe 1/8-1/4" room around the marble) but thats just because i was too cheap to buy the brass pipe that fit it perfectly.

so it all depends on what kinda marbles you're using

drop shadows are in the bottom right corner of the screen, (by default) see the little italicized "F" in the pallette w/ the layers? thats the effects button...click on that and one of the options will be Drop Shadow.

Re: Piston Burst Disk

and how do you expect to replace the burst disk each time?
the only way i could see you doing it effectively would be with a screw on endcap...which really isnt pressure rated...

Re: Multiple ignition combustion?

congrats, you've just thought up a cannon with multiple spark gaps (all wired together in series, of course)

its a good idea though, not sure how well needles would conduct electricity though
