I have heard that there are major issues with the algorithms that the Gun Design Tool's use. Additionally, I have heard that a user who I know as "Ben" is currently developing a new simulator.

Sorry for the late post, but can someone explain to me the "counterbalanced" aspect of this. I see a piston extending into a closed chamber, wouldn't that not move. Thanks

Would a chamber 1/2 in diameter , but longer, cause issues with power?

Well I did done research, and found that a projectile with the nose cone and body in a 1:1 ratio, with the back edge chamfered in a bit. I might hollow out part if the back to move the center of gravity forward. Is this correct?

Lmao, I have that same actuator. What do you guys think is an optimal weight for a projectile meant to cause good damage and still acheive good range? Thanks for all the help guys :D

I'll maximize based on size, might have a 2.5 and a 3.5. Depending on what I need, I can thread the barrel and receiver.

My bad, 1/2 in barrel and qev. Do you think the chambers big enough?

Hmm, seeing as I can't find a solenoid, I'm gonna machine a simple clamp to attach an actuator to the slide valve. I'll be back in a couple of days with a prelim cad. Can anyone run a ggdt to find the fps reached bya 150 g Shot with a 350psi, 1ft long, 1 in wide chamber, with a qev

Do you think that it's worth taking the risk to lathe the valve I posted earlier? It would look great on the write up, and in my teachers eyes. Additionally, it would be easier to obtain, and cheaper too. Might as well seeing as I'm milling the whole furniture set

Either way, this projects gonna be interesting to say the least. I have the resources, now lets see if i have the skill. What do u think of a high pressure version of the DCV in the How- to section http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/diy-3-2-dcv-video-t21061.html.would reaching 500 be possible if I mill...

My bad, Thought i mentioned that. Well, the only issue that I see with that is the PSI, and the price. From the valves mentioned earlier, it seemed that PSi costs cash that I dont have  And just as additional information, this hopefully is gonna be mounted in a milled aluminium housing, and hop...

I plan to make this select fire, circuit board running the actuators. Reason this is so complex is that I'm doing if as an interdisciplinary engineering project both for school and for fun. I plan to have another actuator for the feed system, magazine fed.

Hmm, is there any elegant ways to attach an actuator, electric or pneumatic, to a slide valve?
