question on operation of crosman style co2/pcp valve

Hi guys, question about this type of valve: http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj315/bhbeyes/2240222.jpg I get that the hammer knocks the valve forward and air/co2 goes around the valve seat then up to the barrel, but is there anything stopping air from leaking out around the rod that the hammer str...

Re: How to make a bolt action?

That was exactly my question! Now I know that I can get one of those lines and adapt it directly to my pressure washer valve. That bolt action diagram makes sense, and I think if I develop the desire for something more challenging than my current project that will definitely be on the shortlist. All...

Re: How to make a bolt action?

Thanks for that link, replacing the compression fitting with a T will certainly solve the mag inlet placement issues. I guess no known answer on the other questions, but i can disregard the bolt action queries for now as they are no longer pertinent. That mechanism sure looks beautiful, but in my 30...

How to make a bolt action?

Hi guys, I've been searching the forum for a month trying to sort out how to assemble what I'm going for. Hopefully one of the more experienced builders here will be able to help me put the pieces together. I'm going for a high power bolt action or semi auto 6mm design. Hoping to build it 'valveless...

hah, wow. must be the case, I was using pliers. Do they come from the factory properly installed? I scavenge mine from bicycle tubes if that makes a difference. If they're good from there I'll just buy another and not fuck with it this time :P

So, in continuation of the train of thought of my previous post, I've been working on trying to build one of the simpler designs here. It's JSR's 'valveless' design as used here: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/6mm-mag-fed-full-auto-t21684.html I've managed the valveless part alright actually, by us...

haha thanks for the help guys. I can see what you mean with the inconsistent shots. I was hoping to keep the opening time and distance uniform by using the solenoid with the exact same voltage applied each shot etc, but I see with the extra force required that might be hard to regulate. I stumbled a...

Is this design feasible?

Hi there, just looking to get assistance with a homebrew design. I want to make a semi-auto bb gun. I want to run it off 12g co2 cartridges, and keep it as compact as possible. Attached picture is my design. the parts as labeled by the colored squares; green - a 12g co2 cartridge blue - a homebrew a...

self sufficient semi-auto.

Hi, I'm pretty new to this and am still yet to learn a whole bunch. I saw the attached photo in another thread here and it got me thinking. I would really like to make a gun that has everything it needs to function built into it. The idea is to use this form factor but modified for functionality. In...
