What jack said. And, try it first with just a syringe. Much easier and more accurate than the setup you have now. The setup you have now has a some serious problems. The main one is the big hunk of clear tubing. That tube contains air, or an undefined mixture of air and propane. The stoichiometric ...

First Time Propane User: How much fuel to use?

Hey guys, I have been spudding with AquaNet for about a year now. The glue-like residue was starting to get old, so I decided to convert to propane because I heard that it burns cleaner and better. I have built a cheap but functional propane meter, now all I need is someone to help me figure out how...

A basketball launcher, Jesus Christ.

Anyway, of course it will work. The exhaust gasses have to go somewhere, so it will take the path of least resistance and shove the potato the hell out of the barrel.

Yeah, the fan is just there to increase efficiency of the fuel, so that it fills every cubic centimeter of your combustion chamber for maximum power. It will definitely work without it though, I don't have one, and I get a pretty powerful punch when I hit the igniter.

Ok. Also another question, I have seen people just mount their tanks on their cannons. They also have a gauge. How do they measure propane in a situation like that? If easy, I would like to use that instead of a syringe.

Thanks, I have just ordered one.

So I would fill this up completely with propane, then inject it, then close it right away, and then it is ready to fire?

Thanks for taking the time to put all of this together. I can indeed see why a bigger flash would mean more unburnt fuel. Anyway, I have never used propane before, and I also don't know the volume of the chamber when the cannon is loaded. How would I go about adapting my cannon for propane use? In o...

What's the best fuel for good power and a nice muzzle flash?

Hey guys, I have been spudding for a while now. I currently use AquaNet hairspray for fuel. It produces excellent power, but no visible muzzle flash unless it's at night. I am looking for a fuel that produces a nice, visible muzzle flash, and provides the same amount, if not better, power as the Aqu...
