Pretty simple stuff, the pressure will equalize on both sides. If the hole is small it might just take a bit longer.

No, not having issue with it now the switch is in. Strange because its switching the same wires I physically joined.

Well it tripped the overload in the powerboard. Tried every combination of bridging wires and some tripped the overload as expected and others did nothing. Strange.

Thanks! Its working. For some reason attaching those same wires and flicking the power point on tripped the circuit breaker. Wired a switch in and its good to go. 300psi and climbing.

Thanks for the link, I have however already read that and unfortunately the symbols are different on my thermister. I have C, S & M listed on the rear of my thermister and S, N, L & T listed on the front. Any ideas?

I just took apart an old fridge to use the compressor for an air compressor. The fridge does not have a capacitor, so i cannot follow similar threads on wiring. I have ordered some of the cheap ebay QEV's and 3 way valves that are rated at max pressure of 0.8MPa. I found an 8mpa QEV but could not find a higher rated 3 way valve/blow gun/slide valve.
