Re: Coax steel bb gun
It's fairly accurate. At 40 feet here's the grouping Definitely impressive given the context! 1/4" steel bearings would probably give even better accuracy and should be relatively cheap to obtain. Well I think it's quarter inch outer diameter, which, in this case gives the barrel an inner diamter t...

Coax steel bb gun
This is the second coaxial gun I've made, and this one is all metal except for a couple of jb epoxy welds. The barrel is 1/4 steel brake line bought from an auto parts store, which is the perfect diameter for BB's. The body and chamber is 1/2 inch steel pipe. I used two rubber stoppers glued togethe...

I fill through the ball valve and the equalizer is just a small hole in the diaphragm of the sprinkler valve. So I'm able to fill and exhaust through the same port.

Here's a video of me shooting some small bolts at things from about 15 feet. This thing kicks ass!

Re: Newbie. First coaxial pnuematic
Hah yeah I guess it's a little overkill but I will likely end up using that valve on something else eventually. The darts sure are accurate! I've been moving further and further away from my target and can hit within a foot circle from about 50 feet using a rest for the gun. It's awesome, I might lo...

Re: Newbie. First coaxial pnuematic
Thank you, and yes, I've shot 1/4" bolts out of it which will tear right through aluminum siding :) but no round ball. I found those blowgun darts online and I think they are perfect. Was playing around with it earlier at about 100 psi and could bury them half way into plywood from about 30 feet. It...

It's a 1+1/2" coaxial with a 1/2" barrel. All made with sch 40 pvc. The piston is a piece of dowel rod with o-rings an...
