Ive made a few ballistas over the years, most simple being a lager siege crossbow with a winch for the bow. They are great fun to build, just make sure you have quite a bit of time. My last one took me about 2 weeks. If you want a rerally fun peice of weaponry to make, id go for a repeating crossbow...

Thanks Pimpmann, i wanted to have a launcher that had a large chamber volube but without the large size, so having 2 additional chambers added on to the traditional the 2 under the barrel helped tro achieve this. i think it may improove the air flow as well, but im not sure. yeah, i tested it last night. it goes through 8mm ply with ease, using a 3 gram potato slug went straight through a 160 page magazine with a loud cack, it compleatly ripped the last 80 pages in half through both sides of a tin can, really impressive, video coming soon ripped the bark of an old oak t...

i've never heard that law, i live in the UK where you're not allowed guns to im sure a silencer for a recreational activity is allowed

it is a silencer, its got the barrel extending into it with hoels drilled in, the cavity in between is filled with wire wool, and it works like a silencer
