well i wasnt going to go for as much oxy and propane as would optimally fill it, just use the ratio and work my way up till im satisfied its working at least as well as hairspray, in my case its not about making the boom bigger so much as reload times smaller cause without a shorter relaod time ther...

2 reply, one the bolt handle is just that a bolt welded onto the metal barrel. and 2, oxygen is always the oxidizer in a propane based potato cannon, and since propane needs a pretty specific mixture to be explosive how on earth could it make any difference wether you use bottled oxy or the oxy in t...

The thought of frozen round shad crossed my mind, i know that ill have to make them a uniform size to make them work. also this may be the first spudgun ive made, but its certainly not the first bit of pyro ive played with. and ive never been patient when it comes to these things. The idea of using ...

well so far ive made but one gun, and it worked really well, thats where im going to add the fuel injection and air clearing of the barrel to test. it currently works with bolt action breech loading. and as the the ammo question, its a spud gun, i mean its gotta shoot spuds, whats more impressive a ...

semi auto combustion

I want to make a semi and eventually fully auto combustion spud gun, simply because its something i really havent seen before. from personal experience i know a breech loading bolt action combustion will work. i have been thinking about a fuel injection system from a car, a compressor to blow the ch...

http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... 3&lighter=& i used steel for the barrel in my gun, mostly because i wanted to weld the bolt on, so the bolt action would work. i think in the long run the steel pipe would rust a bit too.

the only batteries ive tried have been 12 volt, but the battery i use has the potential to generate 600 amps cold cranking power, its out of a crown vic and not more than 3 years old. when i got it workeing it was with a car battery charger and it seemed to work fine on the 2 amp 10 amp and 55 amp j...

cops will most certainly frown upon the far throwing of large and hot flames, maybe if its a chill cop or you're a real fast talker you could get away with it.

i find also that the larger the battery ie higher amperage the hotter the spark. so i use a full sized car battery. also, im fairly sure that though it feels like a good kick theres almost no way to have it be permanentl damaging to you. unless you put electrodes through your skin the electricity go...

thats the condenser not capacitor The purpose of the condenser is to reduce arcing on the contacts of the relay, and to improve the performance of the ignition coil. If you remove the condenser, the contacts will wear away quickly, and get very hot, and the ignition coil will give off weak sparks. Y...

using a car ignition coil for a really hot sparkl

I made a really simple drawing of how to wire a car ignition coil for use in a spud gun. I have tried this to great success. though it did take me a few tries to get the wiring right(you dont want to be in the circuit if ti doesnt work right, i have its a damn good shock). also you may want to get a...

I am betting that fuel injection will work though you'd need a regulator to have pressure in a fuel rail like in a car. and a fuel pump too. thats what im trying anyways, since i have a bunch of old car parts, and i already use an ignition coil.

tested it today. and it kicks, works really well with little pre cut potato bullets. theres very little to no leakeage in the bolt action. with some work im hoping to get to 6 rounds a minute. maybe with a clip or something. car ignition coil also is very very good sparks.
