what about wood balls or would they splinter and crack... also is there anyother sports balls thatd fit 1.5 like maybe a field hockey ball doesnt need to be lead just really hard. also on mcmaster they dont carry lead balls larger than like 7/16s they have 1 1/2 steel balls but i dont know how stron...

try using foam golf balls from like mc sports or something those work phenomenal as a backing for anything you want to shoot. it is a perfect seal because they can squish down

good cheap air compressor

ok right now i have a "shop force" air compressor from mejiers. Its pretty small but it gets up to 70psi max but it takes like 5 min.

What is a good quick filling air compressor that doesnt cost that much.

thats a pretty cool one but on mine like u can change up both chambers and fire through one barrel for more power. I think he was going for more like a quick fire thing. I might be able to use pvc ball valves are they cheeper than metal ones

ok i was thinking of designing a new cannon. And i played around with ideas till i came up with this. It has 2 3" pressure chambers. 5 ball valves (alot i know i will explain) 1 sprinkler valve 2.5" tennis ball barrel (interchangable) 2 1.5" barrels (interchangable) http://img429.imageshack.us/img42...

i actually get very little recoil with it. The distance at like 50psi is about 100 plus yards i would never go long distance with that where i live because i live by a lot of houses.
