Need someone more expierenced please
I am making my first propane gun...i made some rough plans for it...i know the chamber size and barrel length and the amount of propane but i dont know the meter pipe length yet because i need to figure out a pressure to run it at... barrel = 40" x .5" combustion = 8" x 1' amount of propane in chamb...

Aright cool thanks guys. Now that i think about it, that is quite an obvious solution. What pressure would you guys recommend. Or how long of a meter pipe would you recommend and i can get the pressure from there. Also one more question now. This is possible to have the porpane tank, the meter pipe ...

I have made many potato guns and that have all been combustion with hairspray. Now I want to make a combustion gun using propane. is it volume (c):volume (b) ...if your combustion has a bigger diameter than your barrel than you would want volume of the chamber to the volume of the barrel to be .8:1??? but if the cumbustion and the barrel is the same diameter than you can just do lenght to length rather than volume right? sorry...

i shot a raquet ball in my 2 incher...i needed dish soap to squeeze it in and it took like 10 mins to get it in...when i shot it the back of the combustion chamber actually shot off....it hit me in the hand and cut it pretty good...so i dont think its a good idea to shoot raquet balls because its so...

This is about our 4th gun I think. This is a really short gun and the barrel detatches for further portibilty. We just hooked up a male and female thread system where the barrel meets the combustion chamber. As you can see we attached handles to it to make it more like a gun.
