I did read the guide. I didn't see a part of it that answered the question. The honking is not caused when I open it. It is caused while filling. It only lasts a couple of seconds. It does eventually seal though. That is why I am unsure if it is the equalization hole. The guide made it seem as thoug...

Issue with a modded sprinkler valve
I just modified my first sprinkler valve and I am quite happy about it. It works very well with just one minor issue. When I fill it, it makes a honking sound and lets air out of the chamber for about 2-4 seconds. After that, the sound goes away and it works perfectly. I have read about sprinkler va...

Thanks for the help guys. I think I am going to try to use a modified sprinkler valve with a pop-off valve as the pilot. Correct me if I am wrong with this process. 1. Air from the compressor fills the chamber to about 60 psi 2. The pop-off valve opens releasing air and piloting the diaphragm inside...

I know that I won't be able to find the exact speed, but roughly how fast will it go? Such as, will it go over 100 fps and so on. Also, if a pop-off valve is used to pilot a QEV, won't the pop-off valve close once the pressure goes below the given pressure rating? I like the 100 psi switch, but is t...

Sprinkler Valve Timer
Hi guys. I have been wanting to build an automated tennis launcher for some time now. I know I could just go out and buy one, but that takes away the fun of building one. I was planning on using an unmodified sprinkler valve as the main valve with the chamber pressure pretty low, so as to not kill a...

Help finding a leak.
I have just finished building my first coaxial pnuematic spudgun. The only problem is that there is a leak in it somewhere and I am not quite sure where. Whenever I pump it up, I can hear air coming out of it, likely near the schrader valve, but I cannot feel the air or see the leak. Can anyone give...
