That looks exactly like something JSR made/is experimenting with.

Ok, its rated up to 260 psi I was just wondering if its exposure to water might have affected its strength.

If you use Loc-Tite its a pain in the a$$ to unscrew the joints if you change your mind later on. Especially on larger fittings. With paintball the average connection size is 1/4" or 1/8" NPT and the pressure is usually 200-800psi when full, so you need the Loc-Tite on certain paintball applications...

Strength of PVC?

I found an 8 foot piece of 3" diameter (rated) PVC behind my garage. It was inside of a 4" piece of DWV which is probably why I hadn't seen it before (stumbled upon it when firing another gun). It had some muddy water inside of it and it wasn't exposed to direct sunlight due to the other piece of pi...

I assume your using a bike pump (or some other kind of hand pump...). You need to either fill it into another tank and fill it or put a ball valve before or after the sprinkler (like Pyro said). Or resort to an air compressor, its just how sprinkler valves work. There used to be a diagram somewhere ...

SpudStuff wrote:High pressure conpressed nitrogen tanks. you can get them to 60000psi
Is that a typo? Isn't it more like 6000 PSI? I thought nitrogen tanks could only handle 6000, 5500 being the average holding pressure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It won't work too well, sorry to be a pessimist but it works on contact with air, and when you seal the bottom, that restricts its access, and the sides aren't permeable so it wouldn't work too well.

How much pressure is that rated to? Although I found the isle at Lowes that had exactly what I needed.

What exactly do you mean by that? I'm switching the design over anyways, using a cut-down 1.5" coupler attached to a 1.5" endcap. They were both going to be actuated by modified sprinkler valves though.

What does that have to do with anything? Edit: Here is an Idea I have for a piston valve I want to do on it. I was going to cut of the DWV reducer and get a new bushing and 2" pieces. The black bushings on the left side is a 2"-3/4" pipe reducer, the one on the right is a 2"-1" female threaded. The ...

I want to see if using a REALLY strong spring will work to keep some air in. I'm going to try it in my first piston. I can always tune it by putting in incrementally less powerful springs. You might be able to keep some air in it that way or somehow make it semi-auto.

Air Tubing

For many modded sprinklers, piston valve pilots, etc. They all use 1/4" tubing and barbed fittings. The only tubing they sell at Home Depot and Lowes is vinyl like. I was wondering what the best specifications of tubing are so that I can order correct tubing, and a shorter amount. Thanks
