First gun shoots sort of but not really.
I built a pneumatic cannon, and it works okay on paper. Sort of. I use a 1" JTV-100 RainBird valve, a 2' long 2" pressure tank, and a 2' long 1.5" breech loading barrel. It's not got leaks, but when I fire it at like 70 psi it's not very impressive. Stuff just sort of poofs out the end and falls fla...

I really really don't want to mod it though. Electric firing is sexy. The honking however, isn't. From what I can tell it's because the pilot valve that the solenoid opens is so small. I'll try to figure something out about it. But I'd really like to keep it electric. I've lubed it but that does not...

I've taken out the white thing and greased it plenty. If I return this valve and get another of the same one, it should work out okay right? But before I do that, which white filter thing do you mean? The one that's screwed into the middle, or the one that's sort of poking through on the side. Does ...

O rly? That would explain it for me. I finished the cannon (pics coming later when it's painted), and now my bike valve just sort of hisses air through it slowly. (BTW, go to a local tire place, and ask them for tire fill valves. I got like 20 of them for free.) So if I put a 1" Ball valve between t...

just a pre-emptive question regarding orbit watermaster
Believe me. I've searched this ahead of time. Now, I haven't actually put my gun together yet, but I've been playing with the valve right? When I blow in the direction of the flow, air just seeps through the other end. Is this okay? Will it not be so bad under higher pressures?
