Well, up until a few minutes ago I forgot that the hose was a 3/8" hose on the male side ( I had it in my mind it was 1/5") so i just removed the hose. When I went to homedepot to buy the parts, on the polot side of the valve I could not find a reducer to go directly down to 1" so I had to buy a DWV...
