dyi, i have been intersted in this idea of a very high powered pneumatic for a long time. if there is anything i can do to help you as far as making any metal based parts please let me know. i would donate my time and expertise. i am a machinist with access to cnc lathes and mills.

i like the the looks of the primer. i wouldn't ruin it with paint. just primer up your barrel to match and you're good to go. no, seriously nice design and performance.

the stinger was my cannon. yes thats what i did. it was a firefighters oxygen tank. you can just unsrew the regulator and then weld on pipe if it is made of the same metal. on my cannon i also opened up the hole to the inside diameter of the pipe which was 2 inches or 50.8 mm. depending on what type...

sorry it took so long to add damage vids. just edited 1st post with links to 6 videos. only shooting at 100 to 145 psi right now. performed pretty well though.

should work just fine. make sure you let the cement set up several hours just to be completely safe. i also always shoot new cannons at low pressures and gradually work my way up the pressure scales. remember safety first. good luck

a much less expensive way to add reinforcement to a pvc cannon is to wrap it with fiberglass. as pete zaria said, carbon fiber is in its infant stages of industrial usage. that along with new superalloyed metals and exotic composite materials are still consumer science fiction. but the military uses...

been out of town for a few days. it is an oxygen tank. rated to 2216 psi. the gun is very heavy. the tank alone has 3/4 inch thick wall at the rounded top and bottom. so it alone is heavy. its a handfull for one person to hold and fire. the heavy weight of the cannon virtually eliminates any recoil ...

if the 300 and leonitis would have had air compressors, golf balls, and 300

just got back from more test firing. all i can say is wow!!! my buddy has two air compressors wired together and the one with the air outlet was regulated to only 100 psi max. the other compressors regulator goes to 160. so.... we took the one offline and hooked the stinger up to the 160 psi. we wer...
