Re: Build Log: MFIC

I'm familiar with 40mm grenades and 37mm, and other projectiles, but that doesn't make 40mm any less of an odd pipe diameter in the United States. Not out to make a grenade launcher, you know. 😋

Re: Build Log: MFIC

40mm is a pretty odd size here in the US but it'd be somewhat similar. Definitely a bit smaller.

Re: Build Log: MFIC

I actually have a legit need to make a small launcher for putting radio antenna wires in trees, so that's my next project for now.

Re: Build Log: MFIC

After an 8 year hiatus... I figured I'd give some closure to what happened to MFIC. Long story short, she had a short but eventuful career. I eventually finished her, lost subsequent build photos along with MFIC herself in my divorce that happened 3 months after my last post here. I'll try to give a...

Well hello!

Been away too long. Remembered this site after coming across photos of my old gun MFIC from https://spudfiles.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=25266 - lots of changes in m life from 8 years ago! Time to update the build log with the fate of MFIC.

Also, that's the more elegant solution. You could always take any solid object that'd fit the space between your barrel and chamber and just secure that with a hose clamp or zip tie; just make it good and snug.

Keep in mind that you'll need a 2 5/8 hole saw for 2.5" schedule 40 pipe.

You got a few options. You could cut out a bracket and then zip tie the barrel and chamber together, for example. Or a large hose clamp. Or something. :)

That's a dangerous route you're traveling; tread lightly :)

If you're good at it, feign some interest into some things she likes. It does help some.

You'd almost think it was materialized out of thin air just for you. But then, it shouldn't take so long to arrive then. :)

What Zeus said. My friend, who has a Benjamin Marauder, absolutely loves his and has been trying to talk me into getting one. Unfortunately, considering it's comparable in price to a real rifle, I'm having difficulty wanting one. But, it looks quite elegant.

Such a feeling of glee. Almost euphoric. Can definitely feed poor spending habits. :)
