Very nice, with an air chamber that big i bet that packs a wallop. I would HIGHLY recomend some sort of brace in between your barrel and air chamber, i managed to crack my Mauler with recoil forces... so i would be carefull to put in plenty of support as your valve is holding the wieght of that larg...

Problem: if you use two motors, there is no way to guarantee they will be spinning at the same speed. If one is spinning faster than the other, your gun will shoot sideways. The recomendation of putting the wheels over/under is a good one. I think commerical ball throwers are made that way. I see yo...

Well, the two pumps i got had some issues. The air inlet and outlet are not threaded (odd) and the pump is both of a different internal design then i suspected and is too small internally for even a single bb to pass through. It was a nice idea, and maybe with a big enough pump it could have worked,...

Okay, ive just always been wary of DWV stuff. I know that it must have some strengh though, my very first gun had a 3" DWV chamber. I took it to 60 PSI (air cannon) in freezing temperatures and it never failed. As soon as i learned what DWV was (did not know when i built it) i sawed the chamber in h...

Got 2 venturi pumps of ebay for $30, great deal considering they're $100 for smaller ones on mcmaster. Remains to be seen if they will work though, im not sure if the internal design has enough room for bb's. I am however, confident that venturi pumps have significant suction as they're advertised a...

Hmm, everything i have read has described venturi pumps as being made to create "vacuums" I guess i did not realise that they meant vacuum-cleaner type vacuume (suction) and not VACUUM like space. Fairly stupid of me to overlook that, as the design obviously could not create true vacuum. I do, howev...

I just find it hard to think that a tube with 2 holes in it will outperform an industrial vaccum pump that can pull a vacuum (as in remove all the air from) things. Seems to me like it would be much more consistant than the cloud's "boy i hope some bb's stray close to my barrel during thier random b...

Well, lets see. Seems to me like it would optimize a lot of things, and as it is machine built and profesionaly engineered to generate high flow and suction, it might beat out hand-made vortex blocks. Its is probably more efficient with air too. Why or how would you know if it wouldn't work any bett...

Venturi pump BBMG
Okay, long story short: Somehow i stumbled accross venturi pumps on mcmaster-carr and thought "hey those are kind of neat". Days later, sitting in math class, EPIPHANY. Mcmaster's info said that venturi's could be used for either vacuum or to transport particulate matter. PARTICULATE MATTER = BBS. I...

Noob of Noobs Dude, I loaded up this cannon with a 5 foot chamber and barrel (1.5" chamber and 1.25" barrel) with water, and when I shot it, it was like a cannon! It totally knocked me over at only 40 psi, and it stung! I had another with about a 3/4" barrel with a smaller C:B ratio, and the effect ...
