What pilot valve are you using?

With a ballvalve and a quick connect you shouldnt need that "Y" :wink:

Edit: Oh, and may I suggest using PVC rather than Wye...

Painting the inside of the barrel sounds like a bit of a waste of time if ask me... tissue wadding should do the trick... :D

You do need oxygen to attain ignition...

The bottom cannon will work... and will inflict reasonable carnage... :D Though it would be referred to as an "inline" and would be better suited in the pneumatics discussions. :wink: I would go for the bottom design, the blowgun would be more useful with a solenoid valve or piston cannon. Looks fun... :D You could safely take it higher than 50 psi... I dont know how much higher exactly, but ive heared of bottles make it to 200psi without exploding or cracking. But im sure 80-100psi should be safe. :)

I agree with STHORNE... a cannon like that deserves a fuel metering system. :)
