Its been one of those ideas for the past year+. Theres a few kinks to work out of the design but at least a scale prototype will get built.

EDIT- Due to the obvious competition in the gas operated semi dept, I won't post the design but will keep you guys updated on my progress.

Project Hellfire is underway

I've officially started designing Hellfire which is going to be a cartridge ejecting, semi auto gun that may or may not be belt fed. Each individual cartridge will hold either a paint grenade or a nerf football (2in dia) and will be ejected once the round has been fired. I plan on using clide's HEAR...

I used a 1.25 in hole in the vortex block I think I'm going to use a .75in one for the full size version. I was again bored the other day so I'll be posting an airsoft claymore/landmine once I get it to work. (need 12grams)

I just built a little prototype with a 12in barrel the other day when I was bored. I can only fire for about half a second before my air tank needs to be repressurized but HOLY CRAP IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll start work on the full size version soon. Thanks for all the help!

The HPA paintball tanks are filled with either HPA or NITROGEN. The pressure stored in a nitrogen gas cylinder or a paintball HPA tank ranges from 3000 to 5000psi some have less some have more but that is the most common pressure range. If its reg'd it won't matter, if you think about it the air we ...

Palmers also sells a dual manifold system for $130 so you can run 2 20oz tanks off a single reg (palmers stabs are incredible regs and if you don't use one then you are a fool). House the whole gun in steel if you don't like PVC 1/2in would work fine. I'm biulding my BBMG out of steel pipe. The protective shrouds don't need to touch the barrel just protect it. And for questions like how big is such and such in mm IT TAKES A 2 SECOND GOOGLE SEARCH!!! We don't have to do all ...

why not use the areosol can as the propelant? Just put a pill bottle or somethin filled with bbs right after the valve and have a barrel off the other side.

First off this should be in the bb/airsoft area.

Best airsoft barrel is 9/32 brakeline but 5/16 is more commonly available. Biuld the entire gun inside a pvc frame. It will look cleaner and be more durable. I'd use 1.5 - 3 ft length for the barrel depending on preference.

I will try a longer barrel hole. I'm pretty skilled with hand tools but nothing beats a CNC Machine in terms of perfection. Once I work all the kinks out of the design I have a connection so I could get a block macined out of solid aluminum or another metal. Should I insert the barrel into the hole ...

I think that was the thread jack. Even though its a combustion I herby quote Mr. Plow My point is this: we travel a thin line that separates a spudgun from a firearm. The ATF letter that technically legalizes our hobby here in the US is not airtight. In fact, very few spudguns today actually meet th...
