haha... well the plaster IS all kinds of heavy, but when i used foam balls with the plaster it turned it all kinds of light... which is exactly what i wanted... I would love to put some kind of fins on that rod so thats the next step in this little experiment. Right now i'm firing it out of a metere...

I'm using a 200K gun. Would going up to a 400K stun gun be overkill? I have one that someone gave to me, but I put the 200K on. I took out the default spark gap, but I'm not going to make one. I fried the circuts when I was messing around trying to take back off the liquid electrical tape... oops......

Ok another question for you then... Would too large of spark gaps damage the stun gun? Right now I have three spark gaps, each about 1/2" gap... Do you think that is too much of a gap? I've seen decreasingly dimmer sparks between the gaps which initially lead me to thinking the sparking inside was a...

Stun Gun Ignition Problems
OK I have a little problem. I installed a stun gun ignition in my combustion spud, and it was working well except I noticed that my wires weren't quite insulated enough because occasionally it would arc between wires, so I took everything apart and used some +33 electrical tape on the wires which so...

Sounds pretty good to me, but I also agree that I would imagine that would hurt your plane, even if you shot the nerf ball at a minimum PSI to get it up there. (I'm into R/C planes too) One thing I must say is if the string around the pipe doesnt work and you do use a fishing reel, your going to hav...

Well I've been tinkering around with ideas for my combustion cannon, and so far I have this... Its just a plaster of paris sabot and steel rod... The plaster is still a tad bit heavier than I'd like to see, so I'm going to try a Pykrete type mixture with the plaster by adding either styrofoam or saw...

Is there any chance I can pull off the blades and/or the motor and leave the frame inside the chamber so I can put a new bl...

Combustion Fan Malfunction
Gah, I build my combustion with the standard 80mm computer fan. After only a handful of shots working beautifully, the fan just stopped working. When I hit the switch controlling the fan, it actually just locks up. It spins free when theres no juice to it, but when I turn it on, the blades just get ...

He doesn't make them, he buys them from joel. actually I think he does make them. I sent him an e-mail saying i needed longer than 3' and i got a reply saying he can't do longer than 3' because he doesnt have the equipment and that I would have to go to spudtech to get a longer barrel. And yes, spu...

Rifled PVC Barrels
Hey guys,
Does anyone know where to find rifled PVC online now that SGTC is for sale and not taking orders? I'm looking to get a rifled 2" PVC barrel or rifle one myself. I have a sick sabot system going, but it would work so much better with a rifled barrel. Any suggestions?
