I am not measuring my mixture based on Atmospheric pressure "x" I am basing my measurement on Measured Propane Pressure and then adding an approperate amount of Compressed air.

Chamber Volume

I have noticed many/most of the Hybrids are small in chamber volume. I was considering making one 3" x 14". Is this too big, what are the guidelines one should follow for hybrid chamber/barrel considerations, also looking to shoot golfballs a mile.

To answer an earlier question, I work at a demolition company, so i get loads of interesting stuff.....

I think It will be an 8" PVC with a propane moniter, I might shorten the chamber to about 10".. As for the chamber fan you are right it will be easy to mount.

8" PVC combustion chamber

Has anyone tried an 8" combustion chamber, and reduced it down to 4" and then down to 2" for the barrel?

It sounds like fun. probably could get a hell of a blast.

How long would the barrel need to be with a 8" x 12" chamber

I use oust 95% of the time, i had challenges getting it to light and had to change it to using a camera flash ignighter, and I had less than 5% failure rate. I have tried others with out much sucess, i have also installed a small 1.5" fan and it also made a huge difference.

It nealy bloew out my eardrums, and the cardboard had a perfect circle whe...
