thats because outer thickness are not regulated by any standard only surfaces that are in contact. so if you have multiple dealers around you can see if they carry a different brand and it might work.

Used a disposable camera's flash for the sparker in spudzooka design. Took it all apart and when I went to attach it to the cannon the guys pranked me and charged it and needless to say when the screwdriver hit the contact it went flying out of my hand and lodged its self into the wall.

Its because some blowguns dont seal if you pressurize opposite the traditional flow. From what I understand and have seen, output pressure can cause the internal pin to unseat therefore leak, and inturn accidentally firing your spud gun.
