Hey guys, good ideas going on here. I just wanted to post and let everyone know I'm not dead...yet. I've been working on finishing out the workshop, and also just got done selling a business. I hope that in the next few weeks/months I can get back to playing a bit, and I've accumulated much more in ...

I've found some off the shelf parts that are used to provide pulsed air.... it generates 5 Hz pulses of air (so a pulse every 0.2 second) (sorry but expressing this is very difficult if your not a native speaker of english ) It is interesting becasue you can also regulate how many times per second ...

Amen JSR! My family doesn't understand why I've been working from 7am to 10pm in near zero temps to get my workshop sheetrocked (and FINALLY ready to be heated!)...it's the longest break I get every year, and I'll be damned if I'm going to sit on my arse and do nothing! I'll have something to show f...

My wife, who tolerates my silly little projects keeps reminding me of how many different filaments that Edison tried before he created a working incandescent bulb. I don't know if I'll live long enough to try all of JSR's ideas! :D Got the shop about 50% sheetrocked...it's half of the second floor o...

Ha, how typical of you JSR to mention epoxy not everyone is a epoxy specialist I cant wait to see the final device in action, you must post good pics of thehole gun, and post some vids Silly me to not have considered epoxy! :) Of course I should have expected that to be JSR's thought! Right now the...

With your design this isn't possible as more than one BB will gather in the rotor channels, so pending the revs per minute I'd say a double feed is definitely a potential issue. DAMN YOU JSR!!!!!!!! You cursed me! Double feed is more than an issue, it jammed up and killed my pretty little al...

Well, my "minion" came through with my rotor/valve today. he was even so kind as to tap the center for my shaft! Only cost me a box of 7mm bullets for his handloading! Unfortunately, I have family obligations tonight and tomorrow night, so the best I might pull off tonight is some photos of the roto...

SUCCESS! JSR concept turned prototype!
Without being chastised, I moved my posts from the BBMG/Strafer to here, I guess it's a better fit. After being frustrated with my failed blow-forward design, I began looking to incredibly complicated designs, including Caselman and Feltman. Searching on Feltman, which was truly my inspiration for t...

A valid observation in the case of blow-back actions, but the blow-forward mechanisms we're playing with function independently of projectile weight. But...? Wouldn't higher chamber/barrel pressure also assist the spring in forcing the piston back to the "rest" position? That was my thought, maybe ...

Ok... I wasted, err....INVESTED...most of my day today screwing around with the prototype. I was VERY frustrated with the results. I was even more frustrated to come inside tonight to read that JSR had virtually identical results with a different design, same concept. Before I divulge more into my r...

No disagreement here...I've been emailing with JSR, and I wholeheartedly agree that the blowthrough bolt makes more sense--for several reasons, including the fact that (pending bolt size), you can theoretically start the projectile forward with the bolt, and the blast of air (depending on chamber de...

Another Full Auto BBMG idea and prototype
I've been lurking for sometime, and finally joined so I can solicit feeback on a few ideas. I've follow JSR's trials and tribulations of trying to create a blowback or blowforward bolt design with much interest, as I too desire to build a high velocity / low cyclical rate BBMG. After having zero suc...
