Your air chamber is designed OK and it's plenty big enough. How much air pressure are you puting into it? Also, there's a small drain hole in the exit port of the sprinkler valve. It should be right there inside the 3/4" threaded hole. Be sure that hole is plugged up with epoxy. Just a thought. Also...

No. The regulator would allow the air from the CO2 tank to slowly fill the air chamber to the desired pressure. Once the air pressure above and below the diaphram in the sprinkler valve equalized at the desired pressure the regulator would shut off the air flow from the CO2 tank. The gun would then ...

I would use a modded sprinkler valve with a blow nozzle mounted straight into the cap on the sprinkler valve. I would also mount a regulator on it so you could us a CO2 tank in a belt pouch and a remote line. Then you can just fire, wait a few seconds for it to pressurize, then fire again. Then all ...

valve problem
The inside diameter of the path that the air has to go through must be the same or larger than the input port on the sprinkler valve. So, since you're using a 3/4" sprinkler valve everything between the valve and the air resevoir must be at least 3/4" so that it doesn't restrict the air flow.

Go to the pneumatic cannon showcase and look on page 11 at the topic "anti-personel mine". Sorry I couldn't link it.

The hole the flow control screw is in needs to be sealed up with epoxy. There should be another small hole inside the large exit port of the sprinkler valve and it needs to be sealed up too. Sprinkler valves work fine with or without a guide rod. I have an Orbits WaterMaster sprinkler valve and it w...

I tried the tilt valve today. It doesn't let enough air out fast enough to allow the sprinkler valve to open. So scratch that idea. lol.

I'm making a smaller air chamber for the land mine. I want it a little as possible. Once I get it done I'll try to post some pics.

tilt valve
Yea, the rubber cover has aready been removed and it does have the metal rod sticking up out of it. I know a sprinkler valve can be activated by a small air drain but when you're using a very small tank and a very short barrel the diaphram in the sprinkler valve has to open as fast as possible. If t...

I can't find any specs. If you google tilt-valve you can see alot of them. A friend of mine suggested them. He has a few he's going to let me test. I'm talking about just the rubber tip. I'll let you know what I find out. There's alot of cool valves on some of those balloon web-sites. They have a pu...

Tilt valve ??
Say you have a sprinkler valve that you want to mod for pneumatic operation. Istead of using a 1/4" ball valve or a blow nozzle, could you use a tilt-valve instead? I guess I'm asking if a tilt-valve would let enough air out to allow the diaphram in the sprinkler valve to open. has anyone ever used ...
