Just wanted to say I went ahead and ordered a piece of this and is an excellent airtight fit for store bought 1/4" slingshot ball ammo, airsoft barrel wall thickness, arrived un-bent too. Re: Short question topic
Porting and piston form is going to be important to get air out of a short, squat, cylinder into a long, slender, barrel in a hurry. The big issue is, IMO, going to be changing the direction of the air, as such I'd probably go for a conical piston face mating to a conical cylinder end, with highly r...

Re: Self contained airsoft, pump action.
You see a very good construction, (as always, in your projects). It is nice to see someone who has and carries out a project from these sides. I congratulate you, and I look forward to new things from you.

Re: New member... my baby, Big Red

Re: New spring powered airsoft
Very very very good construction job, I like it! The weapon is a little gem, in my opinion. Sometime in about 200 years I will be able to approach its high level of construction. The best I have seen in this forum. Keep building your things, much need. Greeting

The question "what is the best tank?" as a way of examining engineering stereotypes
I found this quite interesting:
The Tank Museum's channel in general is worth looking through, a lot of illuminating material that is very well presented.

Autonomous pistol .22
My new self-made short gun. It is a hybrid pistol, with a built-in air pump, that operates with 8x and five strokes only. It shoots common pellets, .22, and the firing barrel is 12 micro-ridged, 200mm long. My friend's chrono gave about 650 fps on 4.5 ml of butane. It weighs about 900 grams, and ret...
