Most anything with enough power behind it works for me.

Marbles don't fit schedule 80 1/2'' but they're loose in schedule 40. Try the 1/2'' steel ball bearings used in "Magnetix" kits. They fit perfectly in schedule 80.

The kind of marbles you buy at like the dollar store fit in thin wall 1/2" PVC.

I got 2, magnetix steel balls fit great in 1/2 schd 40 pvc
1 inch schd 40 is an insane fit for standard bouncy balls.

Pykrete ammo ideas:
Use cotton balls as the reinforcing medium. Not only is it easier to make pykrete this way, it's also very strong.
When freezing pykrete, make sure that you place your ammo in a sealed container, or else your freezer will gradually suck the moisture out of it.
To make buckshot, soak individual cotton balls in water, roll them in between your palms loosely to make them more spherical and freeze them.

I love golf balls! They are cheap, I get 300 for 20 bucks, perfectly round, and do damage.
Go Bruins!!!!
