Yeah sure that's fine. I will have about 6 months after next Wednesday to finish it so yeah...
OK, final version of the bolt here.. needs to be machined out of aluminum bar. the block just needs to be made out of wood, nothing fancy, it'll just be a mold for a magazine.
If someone can get me a price quote and estimated time ASAP I'd appreciate it. I'd like this within 2 weeks if possible, but not absolutely necessary.

Sorry to bump, but I'd like to get the ball rollin on this ASAP, since I cant test fire the gun with ammunition until I get the bolt, and itll be ready for ammo test firing soon.
Had to update the bolt specs one last time, sorry for all the updating realized I made an error on the dimension of the bolt.

. They should be here by the 9th of April. That being said has anybody stepped up to help you with this (that lives in the USA)? If not, what do you want this made from? I have aluminum in stock and can get steel that size (or close enough to turn it down) from my local hardware store and I should all ready have that tap to cut the threads.
I don't have any plate in stock so you would do better to get that from your local welder/ing shop and or machine shop.

If you've already requested a quote from the college machine shop, why don't you just try other local machine shops? Everyone else will be willing to do machining for personal projectsCollege won't do machining for personal projects.... So I really need someone who will machine this please.

The solution? Join a club like FSAE, then the answer if you are being questioned "what are you making that for?" is always, "race car". lol
