Possibly a good paintball gatling gun.

I had an epiphany today I Was thinking to make a three barreled gatling gun using three of my paintball gun meconisms(sp?).
this is the meconism(sp).
<img src="http://tinypic.com/otm994_th.gif">
The way the meconism(sp?) works is the fireing "pin" is pulled forward and ready to fire. When the trigger(gatling gun way at bottom) is pulled the "pin is relesed(sp?) and hits the regulator (I think it is a regulator?) and a short burst of CO2 is relesed(sp?) propelling the ball forward a long ways.

cocked

fired
<img src="http://tinypic.com/otn3ts_th.gif">

So I thought to mount three of these on a central shaft(dark purple) with that silver thing in front of the meconism(sp?)(yellow... what is it anyways) fixed to a barrel(white tube) each with there own 12gram co2 attached to them(not shown). The "pin"(light brown) will be able to some how grab(by using the little red triangle) onto the fireing cuff(light purple) and the spring(blue... sorta hard to see) will compress and when the "pin" goes over the edge of the firing cuff and hits the "regulator"(gray) relising(sp?) a short burst of CO2 shooting the paintball(red) forward a long distance.
(loading meconism(sp?)not figured out)

P.S. How do I make these pics bigger.

I love how the gatling gun concept has suddenly had a boost in popularity. I like your ingenuity, this gives me an idea for a bigger version of this. Thanks. Oh by the way, does the current ammo feed work with this design?

Your welcom if you do make it post it cause I have low fundings and can't make it and would love to see it. Good luck. Current ammo feed? if you mean potatos no it is for paintballs or if you mean how I feed the ammo into it I don't know yet?

EDIT:Dont count on another epiphany for a while. :D

Here's an idea for you. It has a gatling style bolt but here is the thing, it fires backwards pushing open a valve that I designed. The valve is normally held closed by the force of the compressed air. The barrel flys backwards when it hits the firing position and knocks open this valve. The spring to push the barrel does not force it all the way allowing the valve to close quickly instead of waiting for the barrel to move. I'll post more detailed plans later, I'm in a hurry tonight.

That is what the eagle meconism(sp) douse, the firing "pin" hits the regulator and releses a small amount of CO2 and closes in a fraction of a second. But that can be used as a cheaper and probubly simpler alterative.

UPDATE: I think that I have a loading meconism figured out. It is simply two bars attached to the firing "pin" and a bit of pvc pipe cut in half. The barrel is filed inward with a O-ring at the top of the slope. The loading meconism is also filed inward.(diagram#1)
I had to mod the firing cuff so the loading meconism stays open so the paintball can load in the barrel.(diagram#2)

That's basically how mine works but it's a little bit bigger. The bolt or barrel flies backwards opening the valve. Having a flat timing section on the cuff is a good idea I'll have to try that.

It just enshures(sp?) loading oh I took apart my paintball gun's valve. It is made up of a main body(big thing), a CO2 inlet (lower small silver thing), a plug (thing that looks like a screw), spring, and the valve a small hole is infront of the brass screw. the CO2 inlet and the plug can swich places.
