I know what you mean, I was drivingmy dad's truck in a parking lot(Iam 15) and I dumped the clutch and it hit me in the leg and gave me a nice big bruse mark.

i have a baja dun 150 (go kart). i can not get it to slide. it has large knoby tires so with 150cc I can't loose traction with torque. parking/rear brake is not powerful enouh to slid. help me

one of my fiends has a 2seat go cart that burns out has a 6.5 horse ohv engine it it it snapped the chain the last time we tried to burnout

well put some turfsaver tires from a mower on it thoses things are really fun let the air out for betterv traction fill them if you want to bounce all over the trail and drift it and stuff

Yeah, Ive drag raced a jr dragster for about 4 years. I also own a dodge deisel that has exactly 512 horse power, the easyest way to do a burnout is to power brake, which is not just the front brakes as someone said earlyer, but it is simply applying the brakes ad mashing the gas untill your rear tires start spinning. You can then let a little off the gas so as not to burn up your rear brake too much. This works because your cars brake system is set up so that 70-80% of the braking power isdirected into the front brakes, leaving only 20-30% of the braking power in the back. The best formula for a good solid burnout however, is a healthy dose of horsepower, good front brakes (if you have enough horsepower then front brakes will not be nessasary because the tires will unhook by themseves) and a positrac (so you dont look like a complete looser when one wheel is spinning like crazy- like all the loosers at my highschool who will just about crap their pants if they hear a squeel)

I do burnouts in my 1.6L toyota starlet - front wheel drive
1. Build the revs up with the accelerator - Look at your owners manual at which rpm gives you max torque and go to them
2. Dump the clutch
3. As the wheels begin to spin, rip up the handbreak to stop the back wheels

Same thing in a rear wheel drive car, excpet you feather the break pedal and don't use the handbreak.

Just make sure that your hand brake runs your back brakes- some run the front brakes

i like the turf saver tires but i'd have to change them with my dirt cleats alot. i saw the 1000cc motor cycle engin go kart. i am amazed the frame didnt bend on that little cart though. i would put a bigger engine but the mounts on my engine are very differnt and im short for space ( there is a frame rail in a odd spot but i maby could use a v twin.) i have a polaris ranger 48 hp atv motor and trany (v twin) but i think i am going to upgrade my curent engine (there are alot of upgrade parts on the market)
