I'm assuming it's a proxy, they are used to get around filters.

i dont know much about wii but i assume they have some sort of master reset button... you know kinda like formatting a computer. or if its a url based filter (like the ones used by most schools) you just need a decent proxy server. or if you sorta have an idea of what your doing you can locate the process that enables the blocking program to run and end it (i doubt you can do that on wii becuase its not windows based.) if its some other type you can use the file browser to delete it or atleast its logs and blocked list, most of the time they "hide" those files in obvious directorys

can you give me more info on that ublocks thing, whenever i google a load of useless BS, if i had more details on i guarantee i can find a way past it. i ve been doing this stuff since i was 10 i hate any and all forms of censorship, down with the communist scumbags that use blocking software.

and that website that was posted its a proxy server, basically it changes the url of websites. the majority of the blocking software out there simply checks the url against a list of know "bad" sites. if the website address is on the list it comes up with a page saying "this is cannot be accessed" or something to that effect. now proxy servers provide a constantly changing list urls making it virtually impossible to track and block the website your connected. they wont even know you used one if you delete the logs and clear the history

more info here its a page i setup a while ago for the kids at my school, it allows you to make your own proxy running form your home computer

ps - websense is the blocking program my school uses, but the same method can probably be used against the majority of other blocking programs

It's not a url based blocker. It's a parental control keeping my from adding a network profile

Hey singularity, that link you gave me, I'm interested in doing that to my machine, but I need to know if when other people surf the web through my computer, will it be using up bandwidth? Because I need my precious bandwidth to both pwn websense and pwn noobs in counter-strike D:

well they only way people will be able to use your computer is if you submit your proxy server to the list they have going. so as long as you don't submit the url to the list the only person that will be using your bandwidth is you. i assure you you can pwn the noobs of both cs and websense with ease. if you are having problems you can end the apache program which is used to run the proxy when you want to play cs and restart it when you go to school.

Man i know how you feel... about your mum making you pay back money and everything... just a week ago... they said i owed them 300 dollars every day it seemed to get higher & higher now i think I'm up to $540 dollars =S and i have actually no idea on how to get it back... and it doesn't stop there... on the 12th I'm going for my gun licence which will cost me 100 dollars to take the coarse and i have to resign up which will cost me 145 dollars leaving me in with a headache of a bill $785.

But what i don't understand is why the bill is getting higher... i mean i already have to pay them $97,000 dollars after i leave school, but for the mean time... i think monopoly money will keep them satisfied =]

Dude just give her monopoly money like me =]

in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

Kid, don't be dumb! Pissing your parents off even more is just going to get you cut off even more! No matter what, they own the house, cars, furniture, ect... Why don't you try doing what they/you know what you should be doing to make the house hold run smoothly. Meaning having those little things expected of you done and out of the way as to not make dealing with you a major pain in the ass. You will get more respect from your parents working with them instead of pissing them off. Even if every now and then you bite the bullet a little, because they are bitting the bullet every day for you! For the rest of you saying do this do that back to them, stop being dumb! Take it from a 40 year old who has delt with parents/parent for a lot longer then you.

Truer words have rarely been spoken.
There will always be exceptions to rules like this (Some people were just not intended to be parents, but became parents anyway), but for 90% of cases, jrrdw is right on the money.

Trying to negotiate as calmly and civilly as possible using whatever bargaining chips you available is fair game, but making threats and trying to make your parent's lives hell will just result in making the situation significantly worse.
Cooperating, discussing, and unfortunately, "biting the bullet" (as jrrdw puts it) a lot is the path of least resistance through teenager-hood.

Sucks sometimes, doesn't it? But if you procreate, you'll go through the exact same thing your parents are going through right now.

Just my two cents.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

jrrdw and Pete, have got it down(I assume they both have kids too).

Da pneu, how old are you.If you finally hit the 15-16 mark get used to it.That is life. Pretty soon the government will start telling you,you owe them money(for no reason) and they are a whole lot harder to deal with that your folks.Your parents are probably doing the best thing for you.
Take pete's and jrrdw's advice, they've been through it.And most of all get used to being told what to do.Your parents will respect a son who shows respect to them.

I'm 14, and I can assure you I have done nothing to piss them off.
I've tried calmly reasoning with them many, many times. They just really don't care what I have to say. I'm not even allowed to have a phone or a TV in my room!

wtf. quit whining.

jrrdw knows what he is talking about.

why would you want a tv or phone in your room? are you too obese and lonely to walk to a different part of the house?

I am 15, but I treat my parents with respect. they do the same back.

do you actually do a damn thing around your house, or do you sit on your ass, play your stupid video games, and sit on your computer all day?

if you actually did chores and stuff, things might be different.

I watch maby an hour or two of tv a week, and spend maby two hours on the computer. and we have HD tv and everything. I also have a ps2 that I play for an hour or two every couple months.

I think you need to turn off the tv, and the computer, and go to this great place called "the outdoors".
