That is not weird.
That is typical Dutch.
My kids want to do the same thing to me after I die.
They have already applied for the paperwork to fly my nude corpse over retirement homes strapped with some woofers playing:
"Woomp, there it is!!"
Quite normal here.
Anyway...I just got word that after my aircannon demo at the Pumpkin Chunking event in Belgium in 2010...the airpowered launchers were accepted.
THis means I don't have to keep in contact with the organisers hoping they don't forget about it and I'll never get a chance..
Bad thing is they allowed it LAST year so I won't be the first...
Some guys beat me to it!!
I did the work to get them accepted and now I missed the chance of being first...Oh well..
They never E-mailed me!!
The record now stands at 700-something meters...
I'll go next year and see what I can do..

I've heard of that first movie, a lot of people have recommended it so I guess I might have to watch it. When you've got a spare 3 hours, Tolvista is worth checking outjakethebeast wrote:Mr C, no i haven't seen it! Have you seen Tuntematon sotilas? now THATS real art, i have seen it like 10 times
Etulinjan Edessä is good too if you like finnish war movies

Guys, i have a material dilemma!
As my GFs birthday is coming soon, i have been planning of making her a present (Damn she would kill me if i had forgotten) and part of it is going to be a chain that i actually have designed and modded from quite widely known Viking knit chain, pic:
Bad pic, but you should get the point. Its 3.5mm in diameter and made from .4mm silver wire. I also have a 5.5mm version, but i think that would be little too large and heavy looking for cute girl like her.
As my dilemma, should i use 925 sterling silver wire or silver coated copper wire? The sterling wire costs like 1.5€/m, as the coated wire is 2.20€/10m. It takes around 25-30 meters of wire to make a nice, long chain out of it.
So, what ya say? The coating on the .4mm wire is quite thick compared to the wires diameter...

The U.S. Army thought this was a good idea at the time (1962). It was never used. The Army sold it locally and the control cab moved around my town for several years as businesses used it for advertising. It always attracted much attention! It's actually bright orange in color.

Speaking of funky wheeled vehicles that never made it, I quite likethis one:

Opps...this is the cannon the Belgians used last year..
They used a massive trucktire and modified rim as the reservoir and had a butterfly valve to lead up to the barrel...
That is quite a bit of volume..
I'm not sure I can match that on my budget..
they got first price on "most innovative design"..

that is a DAMN good idea.
They just need to make some modified rims so that you can make "dualies" have connected volume. And then stack 6+ tires together.

When they have been smoking Dutch that long they don't really think anymore..
Anyway...they were last years entry..
One can only assume they will be back with an attitude...
Possibly with a large bulk propane tank for a reservoir.
Not hard for them to figure out that simply going bigger will give them the desired result.
There is no way I can compete with a group of guys, backed by a company like that.
But the good thing is that I now have a place to go to legally fire the biggest thing I could possibly build...
With a crowd of several thousands of spectators

In keeping with the Dutch spirit, why not use a couple of cats as air chambers? They're cheap and plentiful

It would certainly not be against forum rules to use animals AS spudgunparts..
( Just kidding here!!!!!!)
But what makes you think we got a lot of cats??
Okay...I've got two ..but I don't get it.
Wait..that means I've got a spare one...
( ten minutes later)
Won't work..
They have a burstpressure of only 4 bar..
Blood and organs are a lot more forgiving than PVC when they turn to scrapnel though....
