Coal forge is taking shape Concrete should be fully cured in couple of day, then I can start making the air pipes And then cover the whole table with fire bricks and get first fires out of it
Max temperature is over 1900 Celsius (appro. 1920 is the coalgasses max burn temp, as I'm using anthracite I see no problem reaching temperatures close to that as the stuff is like 95% pure carbon)
Like i tend to say, "is it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing"

I think it's wrong on many levels haha, it's a little misguided at least.
I only looked at a few of the first FAQs but I think I got the general gist of it.
I'm not sure what would be considered 'good health' for the biosphere, or when it has ever been in 'good health'. You can define 'good health' by what is required for our species (or other species) to survive but that's entirely subjective. A good biosphere is whatever biosphere supports the life of the species living in it. I guess there's always the chance that our planet wont manage to revert from a snowball or greenhouse earth and end up like Venus or something, but geology and palaeoclimatology seem to be on our side as our planet just fluctuates between the two extremes with periods of relative niceness in the middle.
We know we can sustain the human species as well as the majority of other extant species on this planet if we play our cards right, seems a bit silly to sacrifice ourselves for every other species considering how long this would take and how pointless it would be.
I have a feeling that people who would only have one or two kids, be concerned about the environment, have above average intelligence, and have the money and life style to support a family are the ones who are more likely to follow VHEMT than people with the opposite attributes. If this was taken seriously by enough people, we'd probably make things worse quicker.
I get that some people may not want to have kids (for me, it depends entirely on my future circumstances) but it seem pretentious to use VHEMT as the reason why. There are a bunch of others things that someone of that mindset could do instead to help conserve our current biosphere.
Below are a few quotes I hand-picked that don't make scientific sense:
We have evolved into a virtual exotic invader of Earth’s biosphere as a whole, incompatible with undomesticated life forms.
Nothing is either at the 'peak' of their own evolution nor is anything at the 'peak' of evolution in general. The theory that evolution leads towards progress lost most of its support a few decades ago; there's no trend towards progress, complexity, or size. Many species, not just apes, exhibit intelligence on a par with us—though we try to skew the criteria for intelligence to make it seem like we’re the smartest
I guess it's refreshing to see someone so concerned about our impact on the environment but his reasoning doesn't make sense to me from a reductionist perspective. The current biosphere wont be around for that long (in geologic terms) so why bother trying to preserve the current extant species if we do not try and preserve ourselves? Current environmental efforts are focused on preserving the current climate and current extant species, which includes us. If we eradicate ourselves, we have no need to preserve the current conditions because it doesn't matter; those species will become extinct whether we are here or not. But, if we intend to stay here, it is in our interests to preserve the environment as best we can.In a sense, all living things are at the peak of evolution

Jake, that's prety sweet! is that inside your garage
I think the main point it gets right that everyone wants to ignore is that overpopulation is the biggest worldwide environmental concern, I won't bother linking to that Doug Stanhope that's why I drink "abortion is green" sketch again
As to whether we should be concerned about the planet in the first place, there is no good argument for that. 99.99% of all species that ever existed are extinct, who gives a firetruck.
I came across the link from comments on this excellent blog: http://eternalbachelor.blogspot.com.es/
Some of us on the forum often lament the "pussyfication" of the West, but as opposed to wanting to reverse the trend, some men just want to watch the world burn

I've used the MB08 quite a lot in skirmishes, and it's a great rifle, very accurate, comfortable, good replica. But I wouldn't buy it. It's plagued by problems all the Well rifles have, pot metal everywhere. Great rifle for plinking, not reliable enough for skirmishing. Plus there's not as many upgrades for them.wyz2285 wrote:For these who play airsoft:
I'm buying a new airsoft sniper rifle, sold my snow wolf M24.
I'm not sure witch these two I should get: JG bar-10 VS well mb-08
The bar-10 is a 100% TM vsr-10 copy, yet cheap, apparently good for upgrading. But I wanted something that can shot decente right out of box. People complain a lot about well, but I got a mb-03 (some of the cheapest thing out there) and it's decent, 80% hit on a coke can at 30m, 470FPS. So anybody knows more about the mb-08? It's looks great.
BTW I have done a lot of research already, but the opinion varies from 0 to 10 , and seems to be done by kids mostly.
I've never used the Bar-10, but I just passed up on one in favour of a Cyma M14 (for a DMR build). But you need to upgrade them, they're accurate, but not very powerful. Without buying anything for them, you can get up to 450 pretty easily, and with cheap upgrades, you'd be looking at 650FPS or more. Not to mention, they've got a brilliant trigger box compared to the original Marui.
So I'd buy the Bar-10 and upgrade, but the MB-08 is a nice rifle, just not as reliable in my opinion.
In conclusion, buy an M14 and upgrade it, an M150 spring is a good starting point...

Coincidentally - I was just giving that a go today for some parts for a research project at school. It seems simple but it's only simple if it's a single part, and you have a VERY GOOD physical connection to the part. that is a crucial part of successfully anodizing something!Labtecpower wrote:

Being able to properly dispose of the acid bath is really important. Powder Coating is also another, relatively easy option, for finishing aluminum.

more likeLet me guess, it involves copious volumes of Wodka, and 17 ladies of the night?
the instructions weren't clear enough I got my c#ck stuck in the ceiling fan
nah just accidentaly attached +12V to +5V pin on the board... the circuit was a mess.... and yes ZEUS that was PUI (prototyping while under the influence)
I guess he resigned because they didn't let him set up contemplation campsIt will be a while before his new representative on earth will be able to convey your gratitude Rolling Eyes anti-hypocrisy seagull did its job well! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
EDIT
ohh and here is a quick test of the valve...
the valve is switched on for 5ms then switched off for 50ms
it's very loud eventhough the pressure probably wasn't even 0.1 bar - just directly attached to the compressor

Not sure if all of you get what it means but as this thing can open in like 2.6ms, which means you can set it up to open for 5ms and then close... the gun would use just a little air and the valve can close soon after the projectile leaves the barrel.....
so just an air tank, this valve and a little circuit and you've got a multishot pneumatic capable of semi and fullauto... uhmm ok you also need a loading mechanism
ohh BTW has anyone ever succesfully used the idea proposed by davidvaini? you know the one that proposed using an airsoft hop up unit for the loading mechanism?
