I really don't get their logic, they let you fail if you just cruise along with the traffic, they want to see you speeding and overtaking whenever possible..
Glad to see you feel the same even after passing the test..

I feel just like the time I "won" fifth place in a bodybuilding competition..
I was one of five competitors...
They said we needed to show up ripped to the bone...they would prefer that over cheer mass..

Beat myself up in the gym, kept to the diet for 4 months straight...still came in last...even though I was more ripped than some of the others...

Seems to be irrelevant that you do everything required when they decide to judge you on their own criteria..
The traffic laws are less important than their standards...Hard for me to accept.

Thanks for your response buddy!

Was on the set of the My Kitchen Rules NZ TV show on the weekend. They were filming the finale on Tuesday and needed a confetti cannon. Dropped by with my tennis ball launcher (2" sprinkler valve) and shot a barrel full of confetti about 15m high and 15m long in a test. Apparently they used it when filming the finale the other day but I'll have to wait until it airs on TV in a few months to see.

So, if you had ~10 days to design and build a project, including gathering all the materials and playing with it, what would you do?

I ask because I can't work on shit other than designing stuff/CAD where I am now, but I get 10 days of leave coming up here around Christmas...

Was thinking of including a lot of ideas I've hatched in my head, but suggestions are always welcome. :)

Can't find a EU distributer for this company??? Or find a good enough sub that you can get there??? Seems to me this is hobby related enough it shouldn't be that hard to get.

Update:
Didn't find anything, still need help. Doesn't need to be it exactly, I just need to find a way to make relatively tough rubber so I can cast some washers/o-rings.

Was making an example but order a very specific sized o-ring isn't easy here. Planing on casting QEV diaphragms, hop-up bucking and seals for custom valves...

Hmmm...my eldest is now into motorised toys..
He's got a mini-dirtbike and a 110cc quad..

Two weeks ago he bought a 50cc Tomos for offroading.
In my country there are two roadlegal types: restricted to 25 or 45km/h.
He got the slow type.
He asked me to tune it a bit so he'd be faster than his buddy whose bike does 45 km/h.

i took out the restrictions...advanced the timing and dremeled the exhaustport..
This thing now revs like a sportsbike..so I swapped the rear sprocket..

Initial acceleration is about the same as it was unmodded...it just keeps going till it hits 65 maybe 70 km/h...
Hehehe..not bad for a redneck tune-up.
He's scared to go full throtte
