nah dont get the cheap ones mate get the good stuff, i have a sound stream Picasso series 12" and it thumps pretty hard!
do you know that each sum must have its own enclosure to the right specs to get the right tone out of it?
or if you share enclosures its max 2 per box otherwise itl decrease audability.
your gonna need a good setup everywhere for this and also a couple of batteries and capacitors.

Yea in a way they do have their own enclosure. I am also going to cut ports in the back. I take electronics class at a Vocational school and this is what we do. =)

If you are in the USA I would suggest
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/. I got two twelve inch kenwoods for $27 and they typically run about $180 at radio shack and then a power acoustic amp. I would suggest that you find what you want and then type it into pricegrabber.com.

What are you planning to put your box in? It would be cool if you did some plexiglass with neon lights inside. I was going to make my own box with a plexiglass front and mirrors on the inside but then found out how much 3/4 inch mdf cost and then I just bought one. I think for my system it came out to be $200 and it hits hard.

Yea I made a new design and I decided its going to be plexiglasssed. I am putting it in a Civic hatchback. Just gotta save up some money.

I think I am going to redesign it for 2 12" subs or one amp, should be cheaper on parts and on the fiberglass. When you said plexiglass I thought fiber. Here let me draw it up quickly.

So it would be something like this?
http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/insta ... .php?id=38. It is on the fourth row first picture. Except yours would have one amp.
EDIT:What program are you using to draw your sketches?
