I has high speed camera

Yep, I've got my very own high speed camera. It's a Kodak Ektapro 1012EM. It is old, bulky, low quality, and quickly becoming obsolete, but it still fun. I actually got this over a year ago and haven't done nearly as much as I would like to with it.

I believe this was one of the first high speed cameras to ditch the tapes and record onto electronic memory, and it cost as much as a decent house when it first came out. It only records in black and white, does 1000 FPS in full frame and up to 12000 FPS in partial frames.

Of course what would a high speed camera post be without a video. I have some more, but this should hold you over for now:

The pumpkin shots were some of the the first ones I recorded. They were done with the STV2 and a 3"x3' barrel. Unfortunately the stock that I had on that gun was never intended for high recoil and the can of bolts messed up my shoulder pretty bad. Wish I would have had a camera on myself during that shot.

The paintball shots were with a 20' barrel and I was mainly recording to help verify the chrony readings (something I need to start a separate thread about). I figured I might as well stick something interesting in the shot.

So is there anything in particular anybody wants to see recorded? I probably won't get to do much recording in the coming months, but I'm always open to suggestions and they don't have to be related to spudguns.

Stuff full of water is always fun, especially stuff that can usually take high pressure, so that the burst is especially spectacular, such as tin cans not yet opened, and new soda cans, or bottles.

If you could shoot something from a rifled barrel or use a separating sabot it would be really cool to see how that worked as it left the barrel. Or if you could get your hands on clear pvc seeing a piston valve go in slo mo would be sweet, especially if you put smoke or something in the air so you can see flow patterns. Or a grapeshot/shotgun effect.

Try a bunch of different projectiles and see how stable they are during the first few feet of flight.

A clear piston valve as skyjive suggested would be very interesting and potentially helpful in piston valve design.

Water streams also would interest me. You'd have to build a water gun to try it. I'd mainly like to see how the stream breaks up into droplets.

I would like to see if there is any deformation of a golfball as it comes out of a high powered GB shooter...is the smack of the air or combustion doing anything to it shape wise?

Also, I know there has to be some deformation going on as it hits something really hard...plate steel or something....just be prepared for the ricochet.... Basically some GB deformation shots would be cool.

Those pics looked a little fuzzy so I don't know if you'll be able to see that much detail or not.

The most entertaining ammo I have ever shot is a hot dog, I would love to see it shot out of a low-mid power cannon(too much power and the dog self destructs) on highspeed video.
It flies exactly how one would imagine, flopping around wildly through the air.

Some ideas:
-Pop a row of (water)balloons
-Look close to the muzzle how wadding detaches from projectiles
-Do more of those "can full of bolts vs pumpkin shots" it is awesome how that projectile penetrates into the pumpkin with a delay.
-Use this in combination with a seethrough valve. (Didn't you make that inline seethrough piston valve launcher?)

Dude, this is awesome! I found that model on Ebay and it was going for $12k, yeouch.

Anywho,I thought it would be cool if you could get the muzzle discharge from a combustion on hi-speed.
