Have you ever bothered to think just why it is, that we post comments in an internet forum?
Whether it be a new topic, or a simple reply to an existing topic, it somehow matters to us, what other people will think of our opinion.

Even those who appear to post, with the sole intent of gathering information and ideas for a current project, will almost always ignore 15 different suggestions and just run with whatever is available to them.

I have always been over-analytical of everything in my life and have been at a constant struggle to find a better way to convey my thoughts and interactions with others. There is only one explanation that I always, ultimately, come to;

It's ego. We post- because we have this yearning desire to be respected, acknowledged and applauded for our efforts. We post- so that others can be made aware of how remarkably intelligent, insightful and creative we are.

Whether it be a week-long celebration, or a lousy 10 minutes of fame, we post - so that we can enjoy an interaction with faceless strangers on a monitor... Because most of the people we know, really couldn't give 2 squirts less, about what we've somehow managed to accomplish.

I'll tell you this: Once I've made something and looked at it / used it for 10 minutes... It's somehow now lost all of it's appeal. I have to (for some odd reason) share it now with others, to relive that glorious 10 minutes... for another lousy 10 minutes.

Spudbux, titles, post-counts, avatars, profiles, blogs, webpages, Facebook, myspace, twitter... When will it end? How much am I really missing out on in life, sitting in front of my monitor, wondering where and what to post next?

It's beautiful outside today and I'm sitting here, looking at topics about Quick-Connect couplers, coaxial design dilemas and vortex block size issues. And once again... I'm in some desperate need of conveying my thoughts to... anyone who will bother to read them.

This was, just another feeble and pitiful attempt to show someone else, how remarkable insightful I am... How friggin' pathetic!
