Hey guys, back again! Been a year since I was here and, since I apparently have a habit of checking in once a year, it seems a spammer decided to wake me from my slumber by posting on a 7-year-old thread I was subscribed to. So how are you guys? I see there's new forum software in place now, looks good!
Well, I've been up to a lot over the last year. I got a new job. Same pay, same benefits; better hours, management and work. Wife and I are still having a blast being married. She came to D-Day for the first time with me this year. We got her all-new paintball equipment for it, including a custom mask!
We got her an Empire Mini as her paintball gun. Had a great time and another Allied Victory! I also finally converted her over to the 1911 platform, sort of.
Also got her a new car.
It's a ton of fun. Potentially too much fun.
It's been an up and down year. I got the new job, then my Jeep broke and took $1200 to fix. Wife got a fantastic job that's going to work great for us. I got a kidney stone. Had my wisdom teeth out Friday and I'm still recovering from that. But on the upshot we bought a house last month, so we're not throwing money away at rent anymore. It's a pretty awesome house, with everything we wanted plus some. Classy, built in 1931.
It does have a detached garage with a separate shop area. I don't have a whole lot of tools at all right now, but my parents are clearing out their garage and are going to give me a lot of their old stuff. Old, but quality. Probably won't be too many potato guns in my future still, but I'll be able to do some other fun stuff.
So how have you guys been?
Hey guys, it's time for my yearly checkup I guess

Glad that all is going well, you've come a long way for a pancake bunny keep living the American dream! Of course you could have bought the good lady wife a proper American car, but otherwise, great stuff

Well we test drove some, but she really fell in love with the Mini. We drove a Camaro and it was supremely disappointing. It also didn't have room for our German Shepherd.
I still drive my Jeep though, don't worry.

Time for my yearly checkup as well (actually 4 months but hey, long enough), but I won't start my own thread because my life isn't as interesting as yours

Since moving to NYC I've had similar event's in my life happen!
I got a new paintball mask for my international monetary arbitrage team tactic meetings!
I got a new pistol to use during my range visits in Napa Valley at my country house
Had to get a new car... cause, because
And decided to add another residence to my collection
JK... actually shortly after moving to NYC a little over a year ago, I realized that I wouldn't be staying here very long - it's just not my style! I still managed to meet some awesome people and have some epic fun as NYC so easily lends those willing to forgo sleep in lieu of exploring the city!
Now it's off to the foothills of the Rockies for me - right outside of Denver - where I have taken a job offer. It may take another year until I can find a place suitable to set up shop, but I hope to have all my tools and welding equipment out there and a small shop setup to continue work in the field of hybrids and specifically repeating ones!
