Viper looks pretty cool, both are OK.

I would go with the gamo. I've had alot of bb guns and the gamo's always seem to be the best in everyway.

I held both and they both seemed sturdy.

I always heard Beeman was good but all they d is take guns from other companies and put their names on them. Some are good and some aren't.

And I never killed an animal in my life, at least not on purpose. I only want to shoot targets.

go with the beeman. those are very good bb rifles. I hate gamos. They make a terrible noise when shot. Not very accurate even with a riffled barrel.

Get a beeman. Gamo is buy far a lesser quality gun while beemans are very well made.

No, I had no suspicions that you wanted a air rifle for autoerotic purposes.
However, there are very different requirements for a hunting weapon vs. a target-plugger vs. a cheap plinker.

You essentialy want an accurate weapon, and power is fairly irrelivent... 300 fps is enough, in all reality.

Personaly, I owned a crossman powerline 760G for a while. Nice, accurate (more accurate than me from any position, maybe even prone w/ stable rest - and that was without finding which ammo works best with it), fairly powerful gun (760 fps with pellet).
Best part, I geuss, is that it cost 45$, bundled with a cheap scope.
Only deficiencies: it was a multi-pump pneumatic, was a tad light, had a clumsy loading meathod, and the stock - like a huge number of their guns, acctualy - was both an intregal part of the action and poorly attatched. Eventualy failed, ruining both weapon and my accuracy, although I suspect my brother played "golf" with the stock a bit...
(it's easy to tell if a rifle is built this way: look at the stock. Crossman seems to have used the same crappy design on about 15 different models.)
Fulfills the "cheap plinker", the "target rifle" (by my standards), and the "hunting" (on small game) pretty well.

Personaly, I'm looking to buy a powerline 953 right now. 72$ +SH from pyramid air, but corrects the stock problem, probably the weight problem, the loading problem, and the pumping problem. I couldn't find many reveiws, but it seems to be pretty accurate (pyramid air acctualy lists it as a "competition air rifle").
It's a single pump pneumatic.
It's only 500 fps, though, so it's a tad low for hunting, although it'll certainly cleanly kill mice/chipmunks/smaller birds/rats with a good shot.

Your suggestions, IMO, don't suit your needs well.

The viper is a .22 (hard to get ammo for, and the ammo is more expensive), break barrel spring-piston air rifle.
Break barrels arn't know for phenomenal accuracy, and spring pistons are known for being hard on scopes and shooters. (they also are loud, and the Point Of Impact will change depending on how you hold it)

The Beeman GH is basicaly the same deal, but available in both .177 and .22.
Accuracy might be slighty better, but it's still way more power than you need - which you pay with ease of cocking, price, accuracy (the high-end competion guns arn't acctualy very powerful), loudness, and confort of use.

I'd suggest you look around pyramidair.com some.
