Read the rules, you aren't allowed to talk about this kind of thing.

This has all been discussed before, there are threads that span for pages on smoke creating devices (not bombs). Just search though the forum and you will find some good stuff. We only determined it was against the rules if used as a projectile.
How could you guys not know this... sugar, potassium nitrate, melt together yadda yadda yadda.
Seems like ever so often there is a whole new group of spudgunners that redo the spudgunning learning cycle, coming up with ideas and theories the previous group came up with. Funny.

The only thing I have yet to figure out, is how to make it burn faster. I've considered using them for paintball, but they burn too slowly. I wonder, if you powdered the stuff after you melted it together, would it burn much quicker?

If you plan on using it for paintball, don't mention it, you're just going to get the thread locked.

Uh, no? I'm not throwing it at people, so there's nothing wrong with discussing it. Where in the rules does it say I can't talk about it?

Precisely, what does paintball have to do with it? If the mods don't lock the topic in the first place, then mention of the application of this product in paintball is not going to change things. If it was going to be locked, they would have done it from the start, paintball won't change that.
Now, check out this guy's smoke grenade. <a href=">

Whether you're firing a potato or a paintball gun, it is illegal to use solid propellants in a homemade gun unless you register it as a firearm. Try to avoid discussing illegal topics.
I must admit that video is pretty cool.

Did I say I was going to use it in a gun? Heck no. I just want to make small little things I can use for a quick smokescreen. No firearms.
And I've decided to make some of what's in that video sometime. I'll use small amounts though, I don't need a smokescreen that can blanket an acre of area.
